National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has said the next NDC government will look into the cases of jailed galamseyers under President Akufo-Addo.
According to him, the discrimination that was associated with the jailing of persons involved in illegal mining will be reviewed for those who deserve Presidential pardon to get it.
Addressing a mini durbar at Akyem Takorase in the Akwatia Constituency as part of a tour by the party’s running mate, Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, Mr Ampofo also noted that the NDC will reclaim large mining concessions given to persons who are not yet mining and give them to eligible small scale miners in various mining communities to mine in adherence to safe environmental protocols.
