Noelani Drayah: Church’s Chicken employee shot dead after argument with customer

Anitra West, also know as Noelani Drayah, an employee of Church’s Chicken lost her life after a shooting outside the restaurant on Monday night.

The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting July 8, 2024, just after 9 p.m. at 2963 Park Avenue, where officers found 48 year old Anitra West seriously hurt.

She was taken to Regional One Health, but was later pronounced dead.

Investigators said Anitra was working at Church’s Chicken when another woman named Monica Charlie Baltimore Williams drove through the drive-thru in a teal-colored compact SUV and argued with the victim.

Monica Charlie Baltimore Williams then drove away, and the victim walked outside the building for some air.

A few moments later, the sound of a gunshot went off, and video showed the teal-colored SUV speeding off the parking lot, investigators said.

Anitra was found outside the building.

No one has been arrested yet, and the investigation is still underway.
