Rebecca “Nengi” Hampson revealed during one of her media rounds that she was once a victim on domestic violence.
According to the beauty queen, she once had a boyfriend that would beat her till she bled. Nengi who was an advocate for gender-based violence explained that her boyfriend used to beat her up to the extent that blood oozed out of her nose.
Nengi added that she could not do much because she was only 19.
Recall that while on the reality show, the 22 years old repetitively condemned those who assault women over misunderstandings could be handled in a better way.
She has however vowed to use her platform and social status to create awareness and help women encountering similar situations to come out of it.
