An aspirant vying for the position of Constituency Secretary for Okaikoi North National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region, Emmanuel Sackey, has been caught red-handed on CCTV allegedly stealing a laptop and phones belonging to radio panelists on Radio Gold.
Emmanuel Sackey stole the laptop of Radio Gold’s Samuel Huntor who had left his laptop in the listening room of Radio Gold’s studios.
He is also alleged to have stolen phones belonging to some Radio Gold panelists who had left the phones and power banks in the waiting room.
From the CCTV footage, the NDC aspirant gathered all the stolen items and packed them neatly into the laptop bag and left with bag tucked in his armpit like he just bought it from the market.
The NDC aspirant and alleged thief initially denied ever taking the items when he was confronted since the producer noticed his entry and exit without knowing he took something when he was leaving.
The alleged thief even boldly asked Radio Gold to write an official letter of apology to him for calling him a thief when he didn’t steal the items.
However, confronted with the evidence of CCTV footage clearly showing him stealing the items and bolting, the man who will become NDC Secretary should party delegates vote for him, returned the stolen items to a third party to give it to its owners.
