The CEO of NMJ Ghana, Nana Michaels has been named the 2020 Sales, Marketing and Advertising man of the year at the recently held 40under40 awards, held at Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel.

This was after he beat five other nominees in the keenly contested race to emerge as the winner of the Sales, Marketing, and Advertising category.

Nana Michaels Dzikunu is an Events, Advertising, and Branding expert with over thirteen years’ experience. He’s worked as an agent to multinational Ad agencies, and Head of Marketing for the Ghana branch of the UK brand Frosty Jack Cider. He’s been a branding team lead for multinational companies such as Vodafone, Airtel, T&J Electricals UK and Diageo.

With passion for entrepreneurship, he founded West Pharm Ltd in 2008 and rebranded the company in 2011 to NMJ GHANA, he served as the CEO of the company and under his strategic leadership has made NMJ GHANA, a household name in the industry as the number one pan Ghana branding agency.

The drive and passion for events made him to establish Africa’s most prestigious film awards, the Golden Movie Awards Africa and also a business excellence award scheme for Ghanaian businesses, the Gold Coast Excellence Awards.

With the commitment to share love for humanity and to see the well- being of all humans, he established an NGO called the Michaels Family Initiative in 2017, an NGO which has supported people in key areas such as education and health through educational scholarships and infrastructural support for community schools, as well as enrolling women and children onto the National Health Insurance scheme respectively.

The drive to improve the quality of content in the African television space led him to establish the Bliss Television Network, a platform that seeks to change the negative narrative of Africans through television.

In an appreciation note shared after the event, he said he was excited about the award not only because his effort had been recognized but because he believed that it will serve as an encouragement to other young entrepreneurs not to give up, but to keep putting in the work.
