Ghanaian music diva, Vera Hamena Kpedo best known in real life as Mzvee has showered praises on her colleague songstress Efya for standing by her side during her tough times of fighting depression.
Mzvee disclosed this whiles in an interview with TV3’s New Day.
Mzvee made the news some few days ago when she waded in on her absence from the music scene for two years. According to her, she had a tough time fighting depression and as such, could not fully concentrate on her music career. Her revelation brought to bear some of the speculations which surrounded her exit from her former record label, Lynxx Entertainment.
In the said interview monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the BET Award nominee told host Berla Mundi that it was a tough period having to go through depression but Efya stoodby her irrespective as a sister and by her help, she fought it. “It was really tough for me when I was battling depression but I have always looked up to Efya and she has been there for me, she has become a sister to me. She really helped me, we were virtually talking on a daily basis,” she said.
The ‘Daavi’ hit maker however disclosed that she has moved on from that incident and is ready to do music now, announcing her new single.
