In an interview with the host and hostess of Starr fm’s Starr Drive, Bola and Anita Erskine, Ghanaian Musician Kwaw Kese who was sentence to oneday in imprisonment for smoking marijuana in public confessed his arrest was not his first encounter with the police for such offence.
According to him, initially when he was arrested, he never saw the seriousness of the offence because he thought it was one of the normal encounters which he could get away with so easily.
“You see, when l was arrested, l thought it was one of those normal encounters with the Police because it wasn’t my first encounter with the Police so l was very cool and thought this one to will pass away like the others. I realised it was serious when l was taken to court and then l understood the situation was totally different from the previous” said the “For the Popping” hitmaker.
Born Emmanuel Botchwey with the stage name Kwaw Kese, he first celebrated Valentine’s Day with the inmates at the Kumasi Central Prisons. He presented some items to the inmates and now proceed to do greater works with his Kwaw Kese Foundation.
“Bolas, l want to help build proper skill development avenues for the inmates there so that when they are released, they will have some skills and not return into the society not reformed. We will help build a block factory at Nsawam Prisions. I want to say Ghanaians have really shown me lots of love and l say thank you to all of them” said Kwaw Kese.
