My Husband Never Paid Bride Price, I Didn’t Kneel for Him: Lady Who Got Married Says, Shares Photos

Nigerian Feminist, Nkechi Bianze, has tied the knot with her Imo-state beau in a lowkey ceremony in her hometown of Owa, Agbor in Delta state.

Nkechi gained popularity on Facebook for often chastising men especially Igbo men, so her marriage took many by surprise as they didn’t imagine she would settle down with a man.

She confirmed the news in a post on her Facebook page as she shared photos from the traditional wedding.

Nkechi also said that no bride price was paid for her hand in marriage.

In her words; ”Yesterday, the 17th of July 2021, all roads led to Owa (Agbor) Delta State as family and friends joined the Love of my Life and I as we got married.

No bride price was paid.

And I did NOT kneel down to give him drink. We BOTH STOOD up to drink.

The Traditional Wedding was done according to the custom and traditions of my people, and we edited bits to suit us.”
