Kerrville Police Department investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating 29-year-old man suspected of murdering a local woman early Saturday morning.
According to KPD Sgt. Jonathan Lamb, police are searching for Gabriel Rene Aleman, 29, of Kerrville for questioning in the shooting death of Deanna Leann Arispe, 36.
The incident occurred at 1:22 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, at an apartment located in the 2800 block of Hunt Street, Lamb said.
“An initial investigation revealed that a male suspect fired into the apartment through the front door, striking Arispe. The apartment was occupied by three children and two adults,” Lamb said. “No one else was injured in the shooting.”
Arispe was transported to Peterson Regional Medical Center, where she was declared deceased, Lamb said.
According to Lamb, video footage from nearby doorbell camera led Kerrville Police Department detectives to identifying the suspect as Aleman.
A warrant for Murder, Texas Penal Code 19.02, was obtained for Aleman with a $1,000,000.00 bond.
“Kerrville Police Department Special Investigations Unit detectives located Aleman’s vehicle at a residence in the 100 block of South Michon Drive,” Lamb said. “A search warrant was executed by the Tactical Response Team consisting of operators from the Kerrville Police Department, Fredericksburg Police Department, and Boerne Police Department. Aleman was not located at the residence and is currently at large.”
Aleman is described as 6 ft., 5 inches tall and 205 pounds, with black, shoulder length hair, a brown beard, brown eyes and extensive tattoos.
Aleman has a Green Bay Packer G under his left eye, names in cursive above both eye brows, a starburst under his left eye, tattoos on his neck, both arms and hands.
Aleman should be considered armed and dangerous.
“The Kerrville Police Department urges anyone with information regarding Aleman’s whereabouts to contact the Kerrville Police Department. Anyone assisting or hiding him could be subject to criminal charges,” Lamb said.
Investigators are still gathering additional facts in this matter. The Kerrville Police Department thanks the Boerne Police Department and Fredericksburg Police Department for their assistance.
