US First Lady Melania Trump has arrived in Ghana’s capital, Accra, on a solo trip that will see her visit four African countries.
Mrs Trump was welcomed into the country by Ghana’s First Lady, Rebbeca Akufo-Addo and others at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.
On her visit, Mrs Melania Trump donated some items to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital as part of some activities to mark her visit to Ghana.
The items, presented to some nursing mothers and babies, are to promote her child welfare agenda announced in August, this year. Some of the items donated include baby products such as wipes, pomade, towel diapers and oil.
Mrs Melania Trump also donated a phototherapy machine to the hospital, which will be used to treat jaundice.
She will also promote her Be Best initiative which aims to tackle issues such as cyberbullying and boost healthy living.
The visit by Mrs Trump will also see her make similar stops in Malawi, Kenya and Egypt.
