MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Christmas morning turned tragic for two families in Milwaukee after a double shooting claimed the lives of two teenagers near 37th and Scott streets.
According to police, the incident occurred just before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 25.
An unidentified suspect opened fire on a vehicle, striking 15-year-old Xziel Ondalow and an 18-year-old whose name has not been released.
The 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 18-year-old succumbed to their injuries at a nearby hospital.
Authorities are actively investigating the shooting but have not yet identified a suspect or motive. Milwaukee police are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
The incident has left the community shocked and mourning during what is usually a time for joy and celebration.
Neighbors expressed sadness and concern over the rise in gun violence, particularly involving young people.
