Hearts of Oak’s dynamic midfielder, Michelle Sarpong is close to returning to full fitness for the Accra based club as he begins full training with the phobians next week.
Michelle Sarpong, who has been tipped to reach the very top by many Hearts faithful has been out of action since the season’s opener against Berekum Chelsea.
Sarpong was a second half substitute for that game in which Hearts lost 1-0. Just after that game, he picked up an injury that has kept him out for the last 6 weeks.
Sarpong,together with Abdul Manaf Umar are some brilliant Hearts youngsters tipped to reach stardom and greatness and he has been a big miss for the phobians.
A graduate from Auroras, Hearts’ very own juvenile side, Sarpong will b e reuniting with his coach at junior level, Edward Nii Odoom, who has since gone on to take over as head coach of the Accra based team, Accra Hearts of Oak.
Hearts’ fortunes since his injury has been topsy turvy, winning 3 games , drawing 2 and losing 2, including a super 2 clash with Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians are still struggling to find some consistency and are still yet to win back to back games.
The phobians travel to Dormaa ro face Aduana Stars on Matchweek 9 of the GHPL.
