Dr. Randy Abbey, host of Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV has distanced the station from a social media post on Metro TV News Facebook page which sought to absolve the Akufo-Addo government of any alleged interference in the Bridget Otoo saga.
The news went viral days ago that broadcaster, Bridget Otoo had been prevented from presenting the evening news by a top government official because she has been a constant critic of the Akufo-Addo administration.
Subsequently, a statement was put up on Metro TV News Facebook page claiming that Bridget remains a part of the Station and that government has in no way attempted to force her out.
However, reacting to the turnout of events, Dr Randy Abbey revealed that the statement that sought to absolve government of any interference in the saga was not authorized by management of the station and has been taken down.
According to him, the Station’s management has also commenced internal disciplinary procedures against the individuals who sanctioned the publication of the said statement.
