Maleah Shae Archer identified as woman killed in morning accident near AC

The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office said one person was killed and another was airlifted to a Wichita hospital after a rollover crash on Friday.

The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office said it happened in the 32000 block of 61st Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to the crash and found a white Nissan in the east ditch on 61st Rd. A news release said the driver of the Nissan lost control and the car rolled several times in the east ditch.

Maleah Shae Archer, 21, of Arkansas City, was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other occupant of the car, 30, from Arkansas City, was removed from the vehicle by Arkansas City Fire/EMS and was airlifted to a Wichita hospital.

The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office said it is still investigating the crash. Assistance was provided by the Arkansas City Police Department and the Kansas Highway Patrol.
