Madison Marsh parents: Who are Mike and Whitney Marsh
Madison Marsh was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to parents Mike and Whitney Marsh.
Mike is a local physician and Whitney Marsh was an avid runner, biker, swimmer and a chef.
In 2018, Marsh’s mother, Whitney, died of pancreatic cancer.
The diagnosis came out of nowhere, and the aggressive disease left Marsh without a mother at 17.
She was only 41 years old.
Marsh lost her mother to one of the deadliest and sneakiest forms of cancer.
Because the pancreas is located in the abdomen, behind other organs, the disease is extremely difficult to diagnose.
The Whitney Marsh Foundation
The Whitney Marsh Foundation (WMF) was birthed in 2019 from Whitney’s determination to not let the illness define her.
the foundation has raised more than $230,000, according to its website.
The nonprofit has launched a preliminary testing program for families in her hometown of Fort Smith, Ark., who are struggling financially.
An annual 5K/10K fundraiser, called Whitney’s Race, raises money for research, testing programs, and detection equipment.
