List Of Awards Won by Yvonne Nelson

Yvonne Nelson was born in Accra on 12th November, 1985. She is a Ghanaian actress, film producer, model and entrepreneur.

She is a former contestant of the prestigious Miss Ghana beauty contest and took on acting afterwards after landing major roles in Princess Tyra and Playboy. Both movies did very well on the movie market, receiving praises from Ghanaians and the diaspora.

She went further to Nigeria where she has since then featured in various movie productions and acting alongside Nollywood movie stars such as Mercy Johnson, Tonto Dikeh, Chika Ike, etc.

In 2011, Yvonne Nelson produced her first movie under YN Productions called The Price. The movie received praises from movie lovers. She continued in 2012 and 2013 respectively when she produced Single and Married and House of Gold. They won her various awards in the country and featured some of the biggest names in African movies and music such as Majid Michel, Francis Odega and Ice Prince Zamani.

Yvonne started the Yvonne Nelson Glaucoma Foundation which had the sole aim of creating awareness about Glaucoma (a dangerous eye disease which causes blindness). She held various campaigns against the disease and also shot an all-star video to educate people. She received honours from the GoWoman Magazine and Printex for her foundation and career.

In 2017, she was in the news after she gave birth to her daughter Ryn Roberts with his white baby daddy. Since then, she has received various backlashes from society after admitting her baby daddy already has 2 kids.

Her latest movie is titled Sin City which she first premiered in Ghanaian global cinemas on Valentine’s Day 14th February, 2019.
