A 41-year-old man is now behind bars after allegedly shooting and killing his ex, Lena Hardy in DeKalb County early Tuesday morning, according to police.
It happened at 12:18 a.m. when police responded to a report of a person shot in the 4500 block of Rowland Court.
When officers arrived, they found the 911 caller, later identified as 41-year-old Brian Bacon, with Lena Hardy, a woman in her early 30s who had been shot.
Lena Hardy was rushed to the hospital, where she later died, police said.
According to DeKalb County Police, the 911 caller was previously in a relationship with the victim. Bacon and the woman got into an argument, and he allegedly shot her.
Bacon is facing felony murder and aggravated assault charges. He is being held at DeKalb County Jail.
