Who Is Kweku Bany
Anthony Basaw professionally known as Kweku Bany is a hardcore fante rapper and songwriter.
The man from the Western region beat off stiff competition from Ayeyi, Semenhyia and Netty to emerge the winner of the 2020 edition of TV3’s popular music reality show Mentor.
Kweku Bany wowed fans of the show from day one and once again impressed during the finals on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
He was awarded star performer of the first night of the 2020 Mentor “own the stage” competition.

Throughout the competition, Kweku Bany was under the tutelage of singer Adina, who also served as a judge for the show. Rapper Edem, Musicians Union of Ghana president Bessa Simons and producer Appietus were the other members of the Mentor jury.
Kweku ’s direct mentor, Adina, never hides how proud she is to mentor such promising talent.
Judges Appietus and Bessa Simons have never been silent about how they are wowed weekly by Kweku’s incredible performances.
Not only has he introduced a new Fante style in the competition, his wordplay and breathe control are skills he is noted for.
Edem, a main Judge of the competition has on several occasions mentioned that he is confident of sharing big stages with Kweku.
