The Ghana football Associations has announced through its website the dissolution of the technical teams of all the national teams with immediate effect
The move comes as part of a major shake up in the composition of the technical teams of the various national teams.
The teams affected include the senior national teams the Black Stars, the women’s team, the Black maidens and all other junior national teams.
Coach of the Ghana Black Stars, James Kwasi Appiah was expected to sign a new contract after his current contract ended in December 2019 but the latest development means he along with other coaches have lost their jobs.
The statement from the Ghana Football Association website read;
“The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dissolved the technical teams of all national teams with immediate effect.”
“The decision affects both male and female national teams.”
“The GFA extends its appreciation to all coaches and members of the respective national teams for their contributions to our teams and Ghana football.”
“We wish them all the best in their endeavors.”
After an underwhelming 2019 that resukted in what was a mass failure by the national teams, the work of the technical teams of the national teams was questioned.
A proper surgery was needed and the GFA have taken the first steps in that direction to ensure an improvement in the performance of the national teams.
