Born Eugene Marfo but popularly known by his stage name Kuami Eugene, he is one of the young talented and fastest rising Ghanaian singer and rapper who rose to fame after his impressive display of talent in the MTN Hitmaker – Season 5.
In the MTN Hitmaker – Season 5, Eugene showcased his musical prowess to the world with outstanding performances and that was where his musical career kicked started professionally and he has never looked back since then.
Life And Music Career
Kuami Eugene officially started his entertainment career as a music producer at the age of 16, he started producing music at the age of 16 in his mother’s kitchen.
The young talented musician has worked with quite a number of big artists and was featured in MzVee’s latest song “Rewind” which he produced and equally wrote the song. Kuami is currently signed to “Lynxx Entertainment” after he buzz fame from the season 5 of MTN hitmaker.
He has successfully released the visuals for his new song, ‘Confusion’ under his newly signed Label and his hit song ”Angela” which is currently enjoying massive airwaves around the world not just in Ghana alone.
This young talent is one of the Ghanaian up-and-coming musicians that have a high prospect and he hopes to make strides in the music scene. He has also promised more hit tracks.
Kuami Eugene who is currently 19 years old has joined the like of the multiple awards winning female dance hall act, MzVee under the management of Lynx Entertainment.
In a recent chat with the Gh music star, Kuami Eugene, he revealed that his thirst for music was so strong that he run away from school once and got expelled.
According to him, he said he regretted it at the time but that time spent away from school learning production and songwriting has helped him get to where he is today. He also emphasized that the importance of education in a man’s life can not be swept under the carpet.
The young music star had a chat with Joy Fm where he revealed that he left school to go to a remote portion of the Eastern Region to stay with a guy who saw his potential and wanted to help him.
The new face of Ghana music is currently signed to Lynx Entertainment, is one of the best young musicians in the country.
Not only is he talented on the mic, but he’s also a celebrated songwriter and has penned songs for some of the biggest singers in the country including label mate Mzvee, Becca and Efya, among others.
