Savannah, GA – The Savannah Police Department (SPD) is investigating the city’s first homicide of 2024 after a woman was fatally shot early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 5:37 AM at a sports bar located on the 300 block of Mall Boulevard.
Identified as 32-year-old Khadijah Latavia Jenkins by the Chatham County Coroner, the victim sustained at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is pending.
According to SPD, all individuals involved in the altercation remained on the scene following the shooting.
No further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting, the suspect(s) involved, or the possible motive have been released by authorities at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
