While there is no official confirmation that Officer Corder was married at the time of his death, a Facebook post from a family member, Rozlyne Corder, shared back in December 2019, gives us a touching glimpse into his love life.
A Special Moment Shared With Family
On December 12, 2019, Rozlyne posted a photo of Kendall Corder standing proudly with his fiancée and her parents at what appears to be his police academy graduation.
Her caption read:
“Police officer Kendall Corder with his fiancée and her parents at his graduation. He proposed on stage and she said yes.”
That beautiful moment shows that Kendall was engaged to be married. He made the proposal in front of an audience — a moment full of pride, love, and hope for the future
Though we don’t have recent updates confirming whether they officially tied the knot, it’s clear that Kendall Corder shared a deep and committed relationship with his fiancée. His bold, public proposal at his graduation shows just how much he loved her and wanted her by his side as he began his journey as a police officer.
Gunned Down in the Line of Duty
On the night of June 26, just after 9:30 p.m., Officer Corder and his partner responded to a call of shots fired near 25th and Garfield. As they approached an alley in the 2200 block of North 24th Place, they were ambushed by gunfire.
Kendall was shot and rushed to Froedtert Hospital, where he later passed away.
His partner, a 29-year-old officer, survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspected gunman, 22-year-old Tremaine Jones, was arrested early the next morning. Charges are expected from the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
