Keith Marion Lee, husband of the late Christina Abner and father of their three children has been arrested after police said he shot his wife and beat their three children at a home in southeast Houston.
Keith Marion Lee was on Friday,15th December 2023.
Officials said the suspect is 35-years-old.
Keith Marion Lee and Christina Abner got married on May 18, 2018.
Who was Christina Abner?
Christina Abner was 32 years old.
She was the mother to the three children, ages, 11, 6 and 3.
Abner just got a new job and was getting her life on track, family said.
According to her Facebook profile, she worked as a medical record specialist at Veterans Evaluation Services in 2021.
She was a former Cashier at Walmart.
Abner studied applied sciences at University of Houston.
What we know about the incident
The situation was said to have taken place in the 5100 block of Enyart Street at around 1:30 a.m. early Friday morning.
Assistant Chief M. Martin with the Houston Police Department told KPRC 2′s Brittany Jeffers that they were called to the scene after being made aware of three children who were running around with signs of blunt-force trauma.
When officers arrived, they said they found a man, who was on the roof of a neighbor’s home, and they also found two little girls who looked like they had been assaulted.
Officers said one of the children, who Martin said is between 8 to 10 years old, told police that her father had shot her mother.
Police then searched the home and found a 3-year-old boy with injuries similar to his sisters.
As their search continued, officers said they later found a back bedroom where a woman in her 30s had been shot and killed.
Keith Marion Lee was arrested at the scene.
A neighbor who reported hearing the gunshots said the victim and suspect had been arguing for the past few weeks.
Chief Martin said that there was also a previous domestic disturbance call to that home.
