Kasoa Killing: The Police in Kasoa have begun investigations into the killing of 11-year-old Ishmael Mensah who was allegedly killed by two teenagers, Felix Nyarko, and Nicholas Kene, for rituals.
The deputy PRO of the Ghana Police Service, Sergeant Evans Enttiee, says both suspects, Felix Nyarko, 16, and Nicholas Kene, 17, are in police custody and will issue statements as part of the ongoing investigation process to give an account of the event to assist the police in its interrogation.
The suspects were arrested on Saturday, April 3, following a distress call by residents of Kasoa Lamptey to the police about the homicide incident.
According to the residents, the two suspects admitted killing the 11-year-old boy for ritual purposes so they can make quick money.
Sergeant Evans Enttiee disclosed that the ongoing investigations reveal the two suspects had planned to take the body of the deceased for rituals Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, the remains of Ishmael Mensah have been deposited at the Police Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
