Joshua Cooper, 16-year-old boy from Pennsylvania has been arrested and charged with murder after he allegedly confessed over Instagram to fatally shooting another child, according to police.

On Friday, November 25, 2022 at 4:11 pm, Bensalem Police in Pennsylvania received a 9-1-1 call about a possible homicide.

The caller revealed that her daughter received an Instagram video chat from a 16-year-old acquaintance now identified as Joshua Cooper.

During the video chat, Joshua Cooper admitted that he had just killed someone.

He then flipped the video image and showed the legs and feet of someone covered in blood.

He then asked the teenage girl whom he called for her help in getting rid of the body.

The caller told police that the teen who sent the message lived at the Top of the Ridge trailer park in Bensalem.

When officers arrived, the teen ran out of the back of a trailer, and he was later arrested about a mile away on Newport Mews Drive and Groton Drive, police said.

Joshua Cooper was charged as an adult with the following crimes:  Criminal Homicide, Possessing Instruments of Crime and Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence.

He was arraigned by District Justice Wertman, denied bail and sent to the Edison Juvenile Detention Center.

His arraignment has been scheduled for Dec. 7, according to online records.

Who is the victim?

The victim’s identity and age have not been released, other than that she is a juvenile.

She had a gunshot wound to the chest.
