A 28-year-old man was killed in an early morning shooting, according to officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department.
On Thursday at 12:06 a.m., police said they responded to the 1000 block of South Sunset Drive after a reported shooting.
When responding officers arrived, they said they located one victim, later identified as John Wesley Ingram, dead from gunshot wounds.
The Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and assumed investigative responsibility, and Ingram’s next of kin have been notified.
There is no information on what led to the shooting or details on a suspect.
