According to reports from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, a 15-year-old named Jesse Allen Crow, who had been reported missing from Pennsylvania, was found safe.
Jesse had boarded a school bus and reportedly showed several students two large knives in sheaths before getting off at Middletown High School and walking away from the school.
After the incident, three Frederick County Public Schools were placed in secure status, likely as a precautionary measure in case Jesse posed a threat to students or staff.
However, it is not clear from the information provided whether Jesse had made any threats or exhibited concerning behavior beyond showing the knives.
Fortunately, deputies were able to locate Jesse and recover the knives, a black backpack, and a jacket at approximately 10:15 a.m.
It is not clear whether Jesse will face any charges or disciplinary action for the incident.
