A 24-year-old man has been charged with murder after a shooting at an Andrews store early Oct. 27, Georgetown County authorities said.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. at Shaw’s Corner Store on Martin Luther King Drive in Andrews, according to a news release from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
Javon Seward, a 30-year-old from Andrews, was shot and pronounced dead at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, according to a news release from the Georgetown County Coroner’s Office.
Deputies have arrested Hezekiah Wilson of Andrews in connection with the case, the sheriff’s office said. Wilson has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
Deputies said Wilson shot Seward in the upper torso.
