Jason McGee, a high school athletic trainer died in a crash while on his way home from a basketball game earlier this week.
According to school officials, Jason McGee was killed Thursday evening in Luka, Mississippi.
McGee was reportedly traveling home from a varsity basketball game that night when the collision occurred.
Who was Jason McGee?
Before Jason McGee’s demise, he was a Sheffield High School athletic trainer based in Alabama.
The school administration said he was dedicated to all students regardless of what sport they played.
He was the athletic trainer for Lauderdale County High School, Brooks High School, Rogers High School.
McGee served as an athletic trainer for 16 years.
Jason was a 1995 graduate of Lauderdale County High School.
He attended college at Wallace State, the University of North Alabama and earned a Master’s of Arts(M.A) in Education at The University of West Alabama.
According to his Facebook profile, he also studied sports medicine- athletic training at Wallace State Community College.
He was a member of Atlas Church of Christ.
He is survived by his father, Robert (Janeen) McGee; sister, Misty Corsbie; nieces, Katie and Kendra Gillott; and a host of friends who loved him.
