A 15-year-old boy identified as Jaqorri VerMaas was found dead from a shooting in Grand Rapids Sunday evening.
Police say the shooting happened in the 400 block of Umatilla Street SE near Madison Avenue around 8:10 p.m.
Grand Rapids Police say officers found the teen when they arrived.
Jaqorri VerMaas was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s not clear what led up to the shooting or if police have any suspects.
