A 23-year-old woman identified as Ja’nasia Green has been arrested in connection with the killing of a four-month-old boy in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Ja’nasia Green was arrested on Friday on a murder warrant, police said in a news release.
On Wednesday, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive infant at a home in the West End neighborhood.
When they got to the scene, crews with the Cincinnati Fire Department located the unresponsive infant.
The fire department pronounced him dead. The coroner’s office identifies the infant as Hassani George.
The circumstances of his death are listed as pending and lists Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit as the investigating agency.
On Friday, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with the help from the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, arrested Ja’nasia Green, on an open murder warrant for death of the 4-month-old infant.
Police did not say if the woman and infant are related.
The investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is ongoing.
