Jackson Dodgen, a recent graduate of the University of Georgia (UGA) has died following a tragic car accident.
Dodgen’s death occurred Friday, November 29th, 2024, according to his family who announced his passing on social media.
“Yesterday, Jackson Dodgen, a wonderful, godly, young man with a bright future, tragically passed away in an accident. Words cannot describe the heartache. He made a tremendous impact on so many people, of all ages, in a very short time on earth,” the post read.
Jackson Dodgen of Brunswick GA graduated the University of Georgia in 2023.
He previously attended Glynn Academy and was working as a tour guide at UGA at the time of his tragic death.
He was the son of Jeff Dodgen who contested for the Glynn County Board of Education – District 1 Elections this past cycle.
“Jackson was such a shining light from watching him at Lakeside when he was younger to working at Chick-fil-A and seeing him around town, he always smiled and was so polite,” one tribute to the departed Dodgen wrote.
