Iviyan Dandridge: 19-year-old dead, another person hurt after fight leads to shooting, according to Martinsville Police

One person is dead and another was hurt after a fight led to a shooting in Martinsville.

According to Martinsville Police, they responded to the 1400 block of Rivermont Heights on Sunday around 2:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found there had been a large gathering at a home where a fight broke out which led to a shooting.

Two people were shot, according to officers. Both people were taken ot the hospital.

One victim was treated and released. The other victim, identified as 19-year-old, Iviyan Dandridge of Martinsville died from their injuries.

Investigators from the Martinsville Police Department and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office are processing the scene and interviewing witnesses.

Multiple people are believed to have witnessed the incident.
