I’ve Clothed Shatta Wale Before- Pope Skinny Brags

Pope Skinny has opened up on his past relationship with boss of Shatta Movement, Shatta Wale and has said that he has clothed Shatta Wale in the past when he had nothing to brag about.

The Asuoden god disclosed this in a phone interview with Accra based Hitz Fm on Friday.

He said  when Shatta had nothing, he was a loyal friend  and has even fended for him at some point. “I have clothed Shatta Wale before.”

As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the rapper added that the boys Shatta Wale has sacked due to reasons he terms as disloyalty were the same boys who took him out of Korle Gonno during his broke days and fed him till he became a celebrity. “ Those boys he claims to have sacked were the boys who went to bring him from Korle Gonno to Nima. Those boys were the same boys who gave him food when he had nothing. Those boys were the same boys who called me to interview Shatta Wale on Adom Fm even though he was my friend.”

Pope Skinny said he has been known to be loyal to Shatta Wale right from the time he released Ride On Make We Go. He said Shatta has always known that and when they were recording the song, he told him (Pope Skinny) that to pay for his loyalty,  he should ride on the hype he has gained and promote himself. He therefore doesn’t see why this issue of beef should even come up.

In response to whether he regrets knowing Shatta Wale, the rapper said he doesn’t but feels sorry for himself, adding that he has always known that day when they would part ways would happen, but not too soon. “I feel sad for myself but don’t regret knowing him”
