Starting something is mostly difficult. For some people, it takes a number of years whiles others get lucky with developing their craft in a few years.
For singer Joseph Nkruma Buabeng known by stage name Nero X, getting the spotlight in the music industry wasn’t an easy ride for him at all.
In an interview with Frankie 5 on Accra based Hitz Fm on Sunday, the singer waded into his early days of wanting to do music and has said it was a tough time for him, an experience he doesn’t take delight in sharing.
As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the singer in narrating his ordeal said he had to go through hell when he was growing up in Takoradi and coming up as a young musician.
He explained that he roamed various radio stations just to have his music played on air all to no avail. Tired, he decided to take another approach and started auditioning for reality shows. His first as he recollects dates back to 2005, with music duo Praye. He went again for another one in 2010 where he was a runner up.

He concluded that his breakthrough came when he auditioned for the X Factor celebrity show where he was picked out of the lot but suffered the fate of an accident on the day of the semi-finals. However, he didn’t allow that to hold him down but performed after being stitched at the hospital. He made it to the finals and won afterwards.
His experience as he describes it made him see God through a different perspective and appreciated Him more for a journey as tough as his.
