Afro-beats music diva, Wendy Addo popularly known as Wendy Shay has hinted on how she felt when she heard of Ebony Reign ‘s death by describing it as heartbreaking and unfortunate.
She was responding to Andy Dosty on Hitz fm’s Day Break Hitz on Friday after she was asked how she felt when she heard of the sudden demise of the reigning artiste of the year, Ebony Reigns.
She said she felt bad and broken when she heard the news. “It was heartbreaking for me because everybody can testify-my mum can testify- I was always fighting for her because I think she made afro-beats interesting for me in Ghana.”
As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, Wendy Shay told Andy Dosty that she met Ebony Reigns before her demise and has pictures she took together with the late singer. “ I did meet Ebony in December, 2017”.
She insisted that she never thought of taking advantage of Ebony’s death to become a songstress under Bullet and worked her way to her current fame status. “I never thought of doing music with Bullet when Ebony died. I never thought of taking advantage of Ebony’s death”.
The Uber Driver hitmaker was in the news sometime last year when she responded to TV personality Mzgee that a question she was being asked was dumb.
In a rather surprising response to the host of Day Break Hitz, Wendy Shay said she had settled issues with Mzgee and plans on hanging out with her soon. “I am waiting for the day she takes me out because she said she’s gonna take me out on a date.”
Explaining how she managed to settle her differences with the TV personality, she said her management fought around the clock to make it happen. “thanks to my boss and Lexis Bill, they made it happen”. She went further to say that she has apologized to her. “ I did apologize to her. I told her that whatever happened on that day, I am really sorry about it. I support women empowerment.”
Given the opportunity to tell the world who Wendy Shay really is, she said she was an afro-beats artiste who seeks to inspire the world with her music. “Wendy Shay is an afro-beats artist that does afro-beats music to share her passion to the world and also bring out her talent and she being a musician of all weather, she likes to bring it out and let people enjoy.” She added that she is the hottest female musician in the country. “And Wendy Shay is the hottest female artist in Ghana. “
Replying to Andy’s question of her alleged sex scandal with her boss sometime last year, the songstress stated that it was staged by her management. “We were acting and this is show business. These things can be staged”. Unwilling to go further with the questions about the issue, she said everything that happened last year should remain in last year. “whatever happened, it was last year and should remain in last year. “
