On 16th June 2022, the actor American actor and producer arrived at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London to face the 5 counts of sexual assault.

During the court hearing, Kevin Spacey “strenuously denies” allegations that he sexually assaulted three men.

The case was adjourned and Spacey was granted unconditional bail until his next appearance at Southwark Crown Court on 14 July.

Spacey was stripped of an International Emmy Award in the wake of the allegations.

In reference to a publication by abcnews.go.com on 30th October 2017, actor Kevin Spacey said that he has “loved and had romantic encounters with men” and that he chooses “now to live as a gay man,” after being accused of a sexual advance on a 14-year-old.

Spacey’s remarks came in a tweet posted on Sunday night after “Star Trek: Discovery” star Anthony Rapp alleged that Spacey climbed on top of him in bed when he was just 14 years old.

“I have a lot of respect and admiration for Anthony Rapp as an actor. I’m beyond horrified to hear this story,” Spacey said. “I honestly do not remember the encounter … But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior.”
