Reggae and Dancehall act, Samini, says he is the most consistent and most relevant artiste from his era.
His statement is in response to critics who slammed him for ‘begging’ Sarkodie to feature on a song composed by Deon Boakye.
The critics who are predominantly Sarkodie fans believe that Samini had no right to ask for such a favor and questioned his relevance in the industry.
The fans believe Samini deliberately sabotaged Sarkodie’s ‘Blacklove’ album by releasing his song ‘Celebration’ which featured Shatta Wale, the same day Sarkodie’s album was launched.
Responding to them, Samini stressed that he is the most consistent and relevant among his peers in the music industry.
He also stated that most of the top artistes today took inspiration from him when they started their careers.
“I’m the most consistent and the most relevant from my era. still on top form. Still playing top 4. we dey before dem start crawl. I’m your favorite artist’s inspiration if only he would tell you the truth lol. I guess not. However I’m the baddest from the 90s still skanking,” he wrote on Twitter.
Samini also bragged about nurturing more artists than any other record label in Ghana.
He mentioned the likes of Kofi Kinaata, Kakie, Mugeez, Stonebwoy and others as his protégés.
