In the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections in 2024, former president John Dramani Mahama plans to register as a polling agent.
While in Kumasi on a thank-you tour, he announced his decision to become a polling agent.
In his speech, Mahama warned that any mistake the party makes at the polling station can negatively affect the outcome of the election like it did during the last election.
The NDC will also devise new strategies to ensure it wins the elections right from the voting stations, he added.
During his address, Mahama applauded the Ashanti Party for its efforts in making Ashanti the second highest-vote-earning region behind Greater Accra.
It is also the result of the division of the then Volta region, he noted.
Other party representatives, including the National Chairman, Samuel OfosuAmpofo, the General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and Madam Jean Mensah, the candidate for Vice President in 2020, were along with him during his Thank you tour.
