Ignatius Annor , Biography

Mr. Ignatius Annor is a Ghanaian journalist based in France.

He has worked in both TV and radio over the last 5 years covering all major events in Ghana as well as events that occur abroad but related to Ghana.

He first worked as a presenter for Metro Tv for a short period of time.

He left the shores of Ghana later to UK and France to seek greener pastures and to explore other opportunities.

Education

Ignatius completed his second cycle education at Anlo High School in the Volta Region and graduated from Jayee University College with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism.

He also holds a Masters in International Journalism from the Swansea University.

Career

Ignatius started his career in the media industry on radio in 2008 with Radio Gold.

He later joined Metro Tv in 2011 and rose through the ranks to become the senior news anchor and producer

He then moved to Swansea University Tv, UK,  to co-host his first Live magazine show (SU-TONIGHT) with studio audience.

Currently, he works as a senior journalist for Euro News and African News .

Controversies

In 2015, Ignatius Annor denied rumours he is gay and has no intentions of being one.

He revealed this in an interview with Stacy on her Restoration programme.

Fast forward 22-02-2021, Ignatius Annor has come out as gay.

Annor , who was then working with Metro Tv said he denied his s*xuality publicly for years because he was afraid of losing his job and also being stigmatized in society.

He spoke with Joy News over the current trending issue of LGBT rights in the country.
