The newly crowned Dancehall Naa of Tamale, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, best known in showbiz as Shatta Wale has disclosed that he will still do other genres of music in Ghana despite his enskinment as Dancehall Naa of Tamale.
Shatta Wale said this in a phone interview with Joy Fm’s George Quaye on Saturday prior to his Storm Reign Concert at Tamale.
As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the Shatta Movement boss while responding to a question of as to whether he is now going to do just dancehall music after his enskinment said he has been known to be doing dancehall music for a long time now but will still continue to do other genres of music like he does for business purposes. “I wouldn’t say that I’m gonna do just dancehall but people know me as a dancehall artiste. As a business man who wants to make more money in my pocket, I’ll go round like that but what they understand about me and know me for is a dancehall artiste”, said the High-life song of the year winner at the 20th VGMA.
Shatta Wale was enskinned as the Dancehall Naa by the chief Of Tamale in the Northern Region over the weekend for his enormous contribution to the genre of music. He showed his gratitude to the people of Tamale for their generosity and respect.
