Multiple award-winning Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has shared a bitter experience she had with a telecommunication company when she was pregnant and has said that she lost her role to feature in an Ad for the said company after she told them she was pregnant.
The actress made this known on her official Instagram page on Thursday.
Yvonne Nelson posted a picture and story of a female Kenyan Member of parliament who was sacked from parliament when she took her breast feeding baby to the house. In a post by popular media house, CNN, the MP said a lot of ladies face similar stigma from society in the course of their work.
Reacting to the post, Yvonne shared her bitter experience and said after she told the telecommunication company she had three months more to deliver and assured them she would return to do the Ad for them after she had delivered, a lady from the company told her the dynamics will change.
The beautiful actress and CEO of YN productions said the act broke her, but she bounced back stronger and doesn’t regret making the decision to come clean on her pregnancy status as at that time, saying she is a proud mother who will always win.

“I’ll tell you mine. A telecommunication company dropped me because I came clean and told them I was pregnant. They wanted me to shoot an Ad, told them I had 3 months more to go and assured them I could come to work tight after! Guess what, the lady who didn’t even say congrats she said ‘sorry Yvonne, the dynamics will change’. I was hurt! I was broken! All these and more made me stronger! I’M PROUD TO BE A MOTHER!!! Best decision ever! I will forever WIN!!!
