One of the best of friendships that the music industry experienced was between rapper Sarkodie and self-acclaimed dancehall king Shatta Wale.
The two in their short-lived friendship made the entertainment industry exciting with the back-to-back bangers they recorded.
Fans from both camps were more or less joined together, defending these two artistes on any social media platform. You dare not raise a voice against these two! It went on and on until Shatta Wale came out with revelations of some foul treatment he alleged came from his supposed best friend, Sarkodie. The rapper replied with a diss song Advice, and that was the end of the friendship the two shared.
Early on this week, rapper Sarkodie came out to describe Shatta Wale as ‘dope’ despite their misunderstandings, and in an interview monitored by ghlinks.com.gh on Joy Fm on Saturday, the rapper has stood by his statement and admitted that he misses his former best friend.
The Original hit maker told George Quaye, host of the show A-Z that even his wife, Tracy Sarkcess knows how dearly he misses Shatta Wale and how much he talks about him. He disclosed that when it comes to Shatta Wale, they have interesting conversations on phone lasting for minutes which doesn’t end with a dull moment. “I still miss Shatta Wale till today. My wife will tell you. Because when it comes to Shatta Wale, we laugh till the end of our conversation.”
He however made it clear that they have certain issues to settle between themselves and until then, they can’t have that healthy friendship they had before.
He said Shatta Wale went overboard with certain issues which he Sarkodie had to address in his song Advice after a lot of straight conversations with him which weren’t fruitful.
