Ghanaian blogger,Sammy K has revealed that he had to slap the police officer who assaulted him at Stonebowy’s Bhim concert after he was slapped twice by the police officer and that led to his assault.
Sammy K made this revelation in a phone interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon Fm’s Showbiz Agenda this morning.
In the said phone interview monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, Sammy K took some few minutes to narrate his painful experience at the “Fill The Dome” concert that was held at the Fantasy Dome of the Trade Fair Center, La.
The Bhim Concert was held on the 28th of December, 2018 and saw in attendance a lot of industry players in the Ghanaian entertainment industry as well as huge support from colleague musicians from Ghana and Grammy Award winning musician Morgan Heritage who thrilled the audience at the auditorium to very good music.
Sammy K explained that he was taking a video shot of Efia Odo when she came in to join the table D Black and Asamoah Gyan were seated on. From nowhere, the police officer approached him and asked him to stop taking the video. He immediately replied the police officer by telling him to he was an accredited press man. He was again asked to stop filming and just when he was about to reply again, he was slapped by the police officer. Astonished, he tried to fight for his rights when he was slapped again. He went further to say that he slapped the police officer back for disrespecting him as a citizen and a press man.
Asked what happened after the incident, he told Sammy Flex that the police officer got furious and spread the word to his colleagues about what happened, and that aroused the anger of colleague police officers present to join in assaulting him.“ He looked surprised after I slapped him and started telling his colleagues around that I had disrespected him by slapping him. His colleagues didn’t bother to ask what happened but ponded on me to assault me.”
He added that his colleagues from the media couldn’t come to his rescue because they were scared to be assaulted as well. Asked how he got to the hospital, he said he had no idea, and woke up to realize he was at the 37 Military Hospital. “I felt unconscious and don’t know how I woke up at the hospital. After some hours, I gained my consciousness only to realize I was at the 37 Military Hospital”.
Asked what his next step of action against the police officer would be, Sammy K who also works with Despite Group revealed that he together with his bosses would be taking a step of action against the police officer. He added that he believed in the law and would allow the law to take its course. “We are working on getting the law to take its course and also to ensure that this incident doesn’t happen again”.
