I Had to Leave Jackie Appiah; Ran For My Life – John Dumelo
The 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards didn’t end on a good note as it was expected to after the brawl involving Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy occurred which drove most high ranking politicians, diplomats, celebrities and other people out of the auditorium.
One of such celebrities who exited from the auditorium is Ghanaian actor John Dumelo.The actor is reported to have left colleague actress Jackie Appiah in the auditorium after the brawl broke out.
Confirming his act in a phone interview, the actor explained that he had to ran for his dear life because he heard someone possessed a gun among the two acts fighting on stage.
In an exclusive on UTV’s breakfast show; Adekye Nsroma , the actor explained that he went out briefly and was coming in when he saw the misunderstanding occurring. He then had to analyze the consequences of what would happen should the said person in possession of the gun fire it. He took the decision to leave the auditorium.
“I was like someone is in possession of a gun so what would happen if it was fired? I had to leave”.
As to why he left Jackie Appiah behind since they were seated together, he said he told Jackie to follow him but she didn’t so there was nothing he could have done about it. “I told her I was leaving so if I have told you and you still sitting what do I do?”
