Award-winning highlife and afrobeats singer, Dennis Nana Dwamena best known by stage name Kidi has said that he had his son before he had a hit song which blew him to fame in the music industry.
The singer said this in an interview with Hitz Fm’s Andy Dosty on Tuesday.
Kidi made the news some days ago when he shared images of his cute son on his social media handles and announced for the first time that he has a son who lives with his mother in London. Many people didn’t take his image too seriously and associated it to a hype of some sought.
In an interview monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the singer confirmed that the child he was carrying was indeed his son who he had some 3 years ago. According to him, he had no reason to fake such a story up. He gave the name of his son as Zayn and confirmed that he was 3 years just last week.
Answering to Andy Dosty’s question of whether he had a hit song before he had his son, Kidi said he didn’t and attributed his blessings in music to his son. “I had it but it was way before. He came in way before so he brought the blessings”, he said.
Kidi still insists he’s single and is not in a relationship with his baby mama.
