Burna Boy has described how he felt when he lost out on winning his first ever and historic Grammy Award nomination.

According to the musician, he felt sick for a while when he realized he had lost the award.

Burna Boy’s African Giant album of 2019 earned him a huge milestone in his musical career, winning awards across the globe and appearing on big stages.

His biggest yet was when he was nominated in the Grammy’s alongside music heavyweight Anglique Kidjo and a host of other great African musicians. He however lost to Angelique Kidjoe.

Burna Boy Just Bagged His First Grammy Awards Nomination With ‘African Giant’

In a question and answer period on his official twitter  page where fans asked him random questions for him to answer, he was asked by one fan about how he felt losing out on picking the award.

He replied by saying he felt really sick, but took courage from his music mother and icon, Angelique Kidjoe, who strengthened him.

He added that he stood tall, and announced his new album release date.

He tweeted;

“@sick. Totally sick. But my music mother @angeliquekidjo told me everything I needed to understand about the Grammys.so now im “Twice as Tall” (that’s the name of my next album by the way dropping in July by the grace of the Most High)”
