I Ended Dumsor Before Leaving Power In 2016 - John Mahama

The presidential candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Mahama has emphatically stated that he and his administration ended the power outages popularly known as dumsor before he left power in 2016.

He added that the claims by the NPP that they ended dumsor is rather outrageous and not factual.

John Mahama was addressing some party faithful at Ashaley Botwe in Accra as part of his Greater Accra regional tour ahead of the December polls.

Mahama noted that before leaving power, his administration acquired power plants that would power the national grid and add more Megawatts to help reduce power outages and dared the NPP to refute his claim.

“There was no power cuts or power rationing in 2016 but if the NPP claims they ended dumsor, I dare them to show me just one power plant they brought into the country to add to the already-existing ones”.
