Efia Odo sheds tears after question about dad pops up
Actress turned Television presenter, Efia Odo has said she grew up not having a father around her.
The actress said this while in an interview with Hitz Fm on Monday.
In a rather surprising turn of events when asked by Andy Dosty about her father since she barely mentions him, the actress broke down in tears on radio and asked for a tissue since she could hardly control her emotions.
As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the actress regained her emotional strength only to let the cat out of the bag by saying her father was not around her for most of the time while she was growing up and that her mother played the dual role of mother and father. “I didn’t have a father in my life. I had my mother in my life. She was my everything.”
The actress however defended the reason for her father’s absence by saying her dad lived far from them and that caused the barrier. “It is not my father’s fault that he wasn’t in my life. My mother moved to America for a better life. He was in Ghana. Distance.
Efia Odo further indicated that she feels bad anytime she realizes she speaks less of him but it isn’t her fault either because she had no relation with him and doesn’t know how to open up to him. She however indicated that she checks up on him from time to time.
