I Blame Ghanaian Journalists For Collapsing Ghana Football- Akrobeto

Kumawood actor, Akwesi Boadi popularly known as Akrobeto has blamed Ghanaian journalists for what he describes as the collapse of Ghana football.

According to the actor turned tv personality, the numerous actions of Ghanaian journalists constantly talking about foreign sports is what is failing to give Ghanaian football an appealing recognition.

As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the actor was sharing his views as an invited guest on Accra based Peace Fm sports show hosted by Dan Kweku Yeboah on Thursday.

When asked to share his view on what has resulted to the low patronage of Ghana football by Ghanaians, the actor said journalists spend a lot of time discussing foreign football on radio and painting it good whiles the little  time allocated for local disciplines are lambasted by them and their panelists. He indicated that that act discourages listeners from patronizing Ghanaian sports.

“I will blame journalists. Sometimes this issue makes me sad. You know, your bad mum is still your mum no matter what. We get time to talk about the Ronaldo’s and other foreign stars for more than an hour leaving our very own. How can that help us?”, he quizzed.

The actor advised the local media to take time and channel more energy into talking positively about the local sports and disciplines too if the end result is to see Ghanaian football attractive.
